The route went past John Taylor high School, up through Tatenhill and turned right at the acorn towards Burton. It was gel time when we arrived at the albion, I had an orange lucozade gel that I have taken before but not for a while. Be warned gels can have side effects usually to do with digestion but we were heading for morrisons where there are toilets available.
So you go past the tip, which does smell, although that could have been the gels, and arrive at Morrisons, where the toilets were not required, then Clays Lane onto Burton road/ Branston road where you then cross over and head for the underpass.
During these 2 miles from the tip there had been a change to the pecking order, Sian, Sam and myself were making a break at the front with Karen just ahead of Tina.
We tunred left at the bridge and headed for Tatenhill, with me in front!!! At Tatenhill crossroads we turned left and headed for Barton.
Sam had only run 10 miles previously so when my watch beeped for 11 she decided to sprint up Julies hill but by now the village was in sight and we were nearly done.
We finished and all felt pretty good.
Speed training starts on Tuesday....can't wait.
Beetroot intake this week 1200g
